In this price guide for Alpha boilers you will find out:
Alpha boilers are part of the Italian heating engineering company Immergas. Immergas manufacture & distribute boilers worldwide, so they have to ensure their products are reliable and efficient.
Alpha boilers are the brand within the UK and are an excellent option for anyone on a budget.
Don’t be fooled by the lower prices though as these excellent boilers come with at least 7 years warranty. That’s more than some of the boilers at nearly twice the price.
These long warranties and low prices mean that they can compete with the better-known brands such as Viessmann, Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Baxi & Vaillant.
Alpha offer Combi, system and open vent boilers at the highest quality. Prices range from £1,595 – £2,200, including installation.
With their different range of boilers with varying outputs, Alpha will have a combi boiler that will be suited to your home.
If you have a system boiler and want to change to a combi, then an Alpha would be perfect, just as much as it would if you already have a combi installed.
The basic model from Alpha, the Evoke is a great budget option and a very cost-effective option if you are just wanting to replace a combi boiler in a smaller home, such as a 1 or 2 bedroom terraced.
The Evoke 33kw would be ok in a 3 or 4 bedroom house but we would recommend the E-Tec range instead.
The other Alpha boiler ranges are the E-Tec and E-Tec plus. The plus is the improved version of the standard model but will cost you more. It could be worth it though as you get an extra 3 years warranty, so you get what you pay for.
As with most modern heating systems these days, they have rated energy efficiency A to ensure that they keep gas and electricity bills down. Installing a brand new economical Alpha could cut your yearly gas and electricity bills by £340.

These types of boilers are easy to install, a simple combi-combi swap could be easily done in the morning by a fully qualified and trained Gas Safe registered engineer.
They come in a range of outputs from 25kW up to 50kW so you can be sure that whether you have a smaller home with 1 bathroom or a larger home with 2 or 3 bathrooms there will be an Alpha combi boiler for your home.
If you want to ensure that your boiler is installed correctly, you can choose to have your boiler installed by one of their registered installers who have had training specifically in installing their units.

Alpha only currently manufacture one system boiler which is available in 3 different outputs. This is because most boilers that are installed today are combination boilers that we have mentioned above.
System boilers are the ones that require a hot water tank where hot water is stored and readily available on demand. This is great if you need a lot of hot water all at once.
If you currently have a system boiler, then a straight swap for the Alpha E-Tec system may be just for you. If you want to get rid of your tank to create some room, a lot of combi boilers can do the same job without.
System boilers are better for larger homes with 4 or more occupants and for homes with 2 or more bathrooms. These homes that may need to use 2 or more hot taps at once need to have more hot water at the ready. A system boiler will do that for you
If you have a smaller home you will want to consider the Alpha E-Tec 20kw system boiler. If you have a larger home you would want to consider the Alpha E-tec 35kw.
The price of the boiler goes up with an increase in output. This is the same for most heating systems in any manufacturers range.
The above system boiler prices do not include installation by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If you need your boiler installing, expect to pay at least £1500 altogether, or much more if you get a price from British Gas.
Alpha has its own trusted partners who are trained in installing their units which means there is less likely for anything to go wrong in the future.
If you are comparing boiler prices you will find this manufacturer at the lower end of the budget scale. They don’t quite cut it with the big boys in the market in terms of build quality and parts used, but they are a great budget option.
You can opt to pay monthly with 0% interest-free boiler finance for your new boiler which is great as not many consumers like paying upfront for a new boiler.
The Alpha E-Tec system boiler range is a decent boiler. It will do its job and with up to 7 years warranty you can be sure it will give you years of hassle-free heating.
With a lower initial outlay, these may be more appealing to people just after a quick bargain whilst ensuring reliable heating.
Although there isn’t much choice, they are certainly affordable for most budgets, you can even get boiler finance for poor credit which opens up boilers for everyone.
|Boiler Brand||Boiler Model||Boiler Type||Output||Energy Efficiency||Boiler Price|
|Alpha||E-Tec||System Boiler||30kw||A Rated||£1005|
|Alpha||E-Tec||System Boiler||20kw||A Rated||£965|
|Alpha||E-Tec||System Boiler||35kw||A Rated||£1090|
As with their system boilers, Alpha only do one range of system boilers, which also goes by the same name the Alpha E-Tec regular.
With high energy efficiency and low initial and running costs, the Alpha E-Tec regular is a great option for larger and older homes that have a hot and cold water tank.
Like all other heat only boilers, Alpha regular boilers are fed hot water from the storage cylinder, where the cold water is fed from the water tank. The cold water tank is usually in the home’s loft.
These models are usually better and designed for the bigger home that is also in high demand for hot water.
If you are looking for a boiler that will fit in with old radiators and low water pressure this type of boiler is perfect.
The Alpha E-Tec is available in 3 different outputs to enable them to be suitable for most homes in the UK.
The higher the output, the bigger the home usually needs to be. If you have 2 or more bathrooms in your home too you will be looking at the Alpha E-Tec 25kw rather than the 15kw E-Tec
These Alpha regular boilers guide prices are just for the unit only. If you need them to be installed, ensure you use a Gas Safe registered engineer who will give you a quote for installation.
Expect to pay a total of between £1,500 and £3,000 depending on the model you choose and the amount of work that needs to be carried out.
If you already have a regular boiler and are happy with the setup, then a brand new Alpha E-Tec replacement will be a great option for someone with a lower budget without compromising too much on quality.
With up to 7 years warranty, there is no reason not to buy one. The low initial cost of the boiler plus the low running costs mean that Alpha would be perfect for any home.
If you are switching or doing a straight swap them you will not have to re-do all of your existing pipework which is great news for the homeowner.
They are suitable for homes that require higher than normal hot water demand whilst also are somewhat the only option for homes that have low water pressure.

If you are looking at buying a boiler from Alpha, ensure that you use one of their trusted partners to install your new boiler.
Always get the right boiler for your home. If you have a smaller home look at boilers between 15kw & 30kw. If you have a larger home look for boilers above 30kw
An alpha boiler has a minimum of 7-years warranty. The E-Tec Plus combi comes with a 10-year warranty.
To maintain your warranty then you will need to service your boiler every 12 months.
When you have chosen the boiler that you want then you will either be offered to pay in full or to finance the boiler.
If you choose to pay monthly you are liable to a credit check to ensure you can keep up to monthly payments.
Your monthly payments can spread the cost of a new boiler over what term would work best for you. Your boiler plan will vary on what boiler you have chosen.
If you do decide to pay monthly repayments for your new boiler then interest rates may apply to mean the overall price of the boiler will increase ever so slightly compared to a cash price.
