We like to cover boilers that will fit and be suitable for most sized homes and look into all types of systems from regular boilers to the more common combi boilers.

When it comes to boiler systems, Worcester Bosch is the top of the heap. Everyone you ask in your day to day like would more than likely name Worcester Bosch as their top brand in boiler companies. This is mostly justified as their innovation and quality are apparent with most systems however it doesn’t mean they make the absolute best boilers on the market in the same way we all know Nike for shoes but know they don’t make the absolute best shoes available. They have a brand that is recognisable and this is no different.

Having said this, we would like to look at a competitive high end boiler for the modern, large family home. This is the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32cdi compact review.

A Little About the Company:

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32cdi Compact Review: Compare Boiler QuotesBeing a well known brand, Worcester Bosch builds some of the most reliable, efficient and high end boiler systems available anywhere in the world today.

Established in 1962 by Cecil Duckworth, the company became the commonly known Worcester Bosch after being acquired by the German Electrical Engineering company Robert Bosch GmbH in 1996.

From a small manufacturer, Bosch rose to one of the best boiler companies in the world due to their dedication to engineering quality and high performing standards.

Today, Worcester Bosch are still committed to the highest standards of manufacturing and have therefore been awarded the Which? Recommended boiler award for the last 10 years!

How highly regarded are they? Well imagine being so respected that you end up with the contract to supply  boilers to Her Majesty the Queen’s Sandringham Estate!

Worcester-Bosch’s UK headquarters are based in Worcester, England. Here, they manufacture their gas boilers, whereas their oil boilers are manufactured in Derbyshire, England.

The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32cdi compact:

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32cdi Compact Review: Compare Boiler QuotesThe Greenstar CDi Compact is a brilliant large boiler system suitable for most larger 4 bedroom homes in the U.K. If you have a 4 bedroom home which has a high hot water usage and will be using 2 bathrooms simultaneously. If you are wondering if this system is right for your home then look no further as this boiler is capable of heating up to 20 radiators and 2 bathrooms at the same time. This means that it will be a perfectly capable system for your family home.

It is also a substantially smaller version of the Worcester CDi Classic, but it somehow maintains the same high performance and high efficiency standards.

If you are looking into The Worcester Greenstar CDi Compact and need a professional installation then your fitter will be happy with the model you chose as it offers flexibility to the installer as well as a suite of energy saving features which will make it as simple to install as it is to maintain and use.

What is the Warranty Like?

Again, the only letdown with many boiler systems we review is the warranty period. The Available warranty with the Greenstar CDi Compact  is only 2 years as standard. You do have the option to upgrade when installed by a Worcester Bosch Accredited installer to 5 years but this just isn’t good enough for us when other manufacturers are offering up to 10 years as standard.

Conclusion and Other Recommendations.

We think that although the Worcester Bosch systems are so well received there are other boilers which outperform them in both heating, water, and internal quality. One of these alternative boilers which we would recommend, is  the Viessmann Vitodens 200-W which in our opinion, is one of the best boilers available today. it is slightly more efficient and has a better heat exchanger, one of the highest fault parts in any boiler.

Overall, we would give this system a score of 7/10 with the only letdowns being the flow rate which is lower than comparable systems, and the warranty which is kind of an insult when other manufacturers are offering much higher warranties for a lower cost boiler.
