Vaillant Heat Only Boilers:

 

Heat only or conventional boilers are better for larger homes with more than two bathrooms. These types of systems can heat the home , the hot water, and taps at the same time and are perfect for home.

Vaillant heat only (conventional) boilers like other systems, require a cold water tank in the loft or attic and a hot water cylinder usually in the airing cupboard. 

Note that installation time, disruption and cost are all much higher with conventional systems than combi systems as the combi systems have no external tanks.

Vaillant System Boilers:

System Boilers have a hot water cylinder similar to conventional boiler systems however they do not need a cold water tank in the attic to work. They take their cold water from the mains supply.

Vaillant systems boilers, and other system boilers are good if you require higher water pressure to more than one tap or shower at once. 

If you have a larger family with baths and showers going on simultaneously, you will know what we’re talking about. There’s nothing worse than having a non-powerful shower dripping out of the showerhead with no pressure.

Vaillant Boiler Warranties review:

We know that Vaillant boilers are quite reliable however things can always go wrong with any highly technical piece of equipment.

Compared to other companies, Vaillant offers a competitive warranty option, although not quite as high as other German manufacturers. 

As standard, Vaillant offer 5 year warranties on their boilers, however other brands offer 7,10, and even 15 years of cover with their boilers. 

This means that you may need to pay for supplemental boiler cover to keep your system running at its best level.  You will therefore need to factor this into your new boiler budget. 

What about Vaillant boiler efficiency?

Vaillant boilers are known as efficient systems however now that other manufacturers have upped their game, they are found lagging.

 That is because the average efficiency for Vaillant boilers comes in at 89.8%, whereas comparable boilers from companies such as Viessmann have an astonishing efficiency rating of 98%! 

Also, none of the boilers we looked at from Vaillant have an efficiency rating of A, the closest is B throughout their range.

You will also need to factor this into the cost when you look at a new boiler system as these boilers can be more costly to run.
